This all maybe true, however this hasn't discouraged me from wanting to start law school. I'm in my mid fifties and have put it off for thiry years. I have found many loans, grants and schlorships for someone of my age. Let's face it, at my age the big firms might grant an interview to be PC, but absent special circumstances they wouldn't seriously consider me.

Seems like BU kind of gets a bum wrap from Wolf. I loved it there; the students are great and the professors are excellent scholars AND teachers (those don't always mix). I think it can be tough to separate the law school experience from the job search process sometimes, because the two get so intertwined so early. That's especially true when it's a struggle to find a job, but the legal market is what it is. Even when the economy is doing well, it's good grades or no job. At any law school. Maybe law schools don't do enough to advertise that, but law students have to take some responsibility to do a little research themselves too.
